The witch of Duva – Leigh Bardugo

coverBook review

Read: October 10, 2015

The witch of Duva is short novella about a small village where the trees are hungry for girls. With winter coming along and more girls are disappearing, Nadya is forced to leave the house in the evenings by her new stepmother to check the traps for food. Nadya loses her way while the danger is still in the woods.

My opinion

Even though this book is a novella of the Grisha trilogy, it can easily be read as a short stand alone. Even though I knew where the story was headed; I wasn’t a 100% sure about the perpetrator until the very end. A short folks tale which was an enjoyable read.
