Little knife – Leigh Bardugo

Book Review

Read: October 12, 2015

The story of Little knife is about a wealthy man with a daughter so beautiful, that only a blind person can be kept as her nurse. Her beauty sends man fighting their best friends upon a sight of her. When it is time for her to be married, her father arranges a contest to find a suitable man in his opinion while ignoring his daughter concerns.

My opinion

Even though this book is a novella of the Grisha triology, it can easily be read as a short stand alone. It reminded me of a Grimm fairy tale with a lesson for children and too scare them for certain behavior/way of thinking. It was short; fast paced and didn’t entail a lot of details that weren’t necessary for the story to be complete.
